THE ARTIST
Kalim Rahi Quadri is a celebrated artist from Jharkhand, India, with over 42 years of experience in painting. Born in 1975 in Sulumjudi, near Muri in Ranchi, he developed an early passion for art, considering colors, brushes, and canvas his childhood toys. His artistic journey has been marked by resilience and an unwavering commitment to creativity.
Beyond painting, he is also a talented poet, believing that painting and poetry are two sides of the same coin—one crafting images with colors and brushes, the other painting with words. This dual artistic expression enriches his work and deepens its impact.
Despite facing numerous challenges, He remained steadfast in his artistic pursuits, drawing strength from key individuals who supported him during difficult times. Among them are Dr. V.N. Choudhary, 3D artist Akbar Momin, Ajay Kujur, Sunil Lakra, Chand Khan, Vijay Rajgharia, artist Vijendra Sharma from Delhi, Tayyab Momin, and Ramesh Jalan, whose contributions he acknowledges with deep gratitude.
His exceptional talent has earned him significant recognition. He has been honored twice by former Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Arjun Munda, and has received accolades from Sudesh Kumar Mahto, the former Home and Art Minister of Jharkhand. Among his many awards are the Pragati Kala Ratna Award and the Kala Shiromani Award, solidifying his place as one of India's foremost artists.
